Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Nightly Brightening Pads

August is here?! I swear, the older I get, the more the year flies by. Amirite? 😉 Anywho, let’s get to sampling, shall we? You know how you go to Ulta and there’s the aisle of doom, but there’s also a kiosk section with travel sizes? At least mine does… Anyways, I was on the hunt for a specific product, couldn’t find it, so I picked up the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Nightly Brightening Pads.* I had not seen this around and I was looking for a toner pad to take with me on a trip, so I thought “why not?” Right?

So what are the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Nightly Brightening Pads? According to Juice Beauty, the Green Apple Peel Nightly Brightening Pads, “help brighten, smooth and tone while reducing the appearance of dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles.” Juice Beauty also states, “these luxurious, eco-friendly bamboo pads are saturated with antioxidant-rich organic fruit acids to brighten while extracts of algae, Vitamin B3 and plant-derived sodium hyaluronate reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as dark spots and discoloration, for optimum age-defying results.” In addition, the brand says these pads are good for almost all skin types, minus those with sensitive or rosacea skin, and for those in their 20’s and up.

Other bits to know, the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Nightly Brightening Pads is formulated without parabens, petroleum, propylene or butylene glycol, sodium lauryl sulfates, pesticides, phthalates, artificial dyes or synthetic fragrances. I haven’t mentioned yet, but Juice Beauty is also cruelty-free. I’ve given my thoughts on parabens in the past, but if the exclusion of such an ingredient means something to you, keep that in mind.

Knowing all of that, let’s take a brief look at the ingredients and then my thoughts on the product! Below are the ingredients (as listed on CosDNA): Read more…

#SampleSunday | OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Shampoo & Conditioner

Posted in Beauty
OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Shampoo and Conditioner

I’m so picky when it comes to hair care. Growing up in a salon made it difficult to trust anything that’s sold in the drugstore. You can’t imaging how many times, from various stylists, about how there’s nothing of high quality in the drugstore. However, as time went on, and times got financially trying, I began to venture to the land of cheaper deals for hair care. In comes OGX. I’ve always been curious about the brand and had wanted to try their products, but I never knew where to start. I’ve been lucky enough to be sent some products, so today we’ll talk about a set I recently emptied. Let’s chat about the OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Shampoo & Conditioner.

So what is the OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water range? This range is coconut water based and is, “…an ultra-light splash of hydration infused with coconut water, electrolytes and coconut oil helps take your hair from parched to silky, shiny perfection.” So did this range provide that? I’ll go through the ingredients and then talk about my experience with the products. Read more…

Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm

I don’t know if you’re like me, but chances are that if you’re a skincare fanatic, you are. I change up routine depending on the general season as opposed to the day. My skin typically stays the same, unless I’m travelling to a different climate or the weather goes nuts. With that in mind, the hotter the months, the less I want to use creams, balms or oils to remove my makeup due to the fact that I’m wearing less makeup in general. However, this time around, I decided to try a balm. And by now, you know that balm is the Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm.*

Farmacy is a brand I’ve been wanting to try for quite some time. I love the idea of their products. They’re like K-beauty meets green beauty and we all know I’m a fan of both. According to the brand, this “…nourishing cleansing balm that gently melts away makeup and impurities caused by pollution, leaving the skin hydrated and silky smooth.” Additionally, the Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm features sunflower oil, ginger root oil, moringa and papaya extracts and whole list of other natural ingredients that are leave the skin glowing and promotes complexion toning. Farmacy also claims this product is good for all skin types.

So what’s the deal with the Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm? Is this a great makeup remover? Let’s take a look at the ingredients and then talk about my experience.

Honest Beauty Refreshingly Clean Gel Cleanser

It’s Sunday and that means I have a sample review for you! Today I’ll be taking a closer look at the Honest Beauty Refreshingly Clean Gel Cleanser.* I bought this, maybe? I really have no clue how this got into my collection. I thought I saw it in the check-out aisle bins at Ulta. 😅

For those who don’t know, Honest Beauty is a part of The Honest Co., which is co-owned by Jessica Alba. Honest Beauty is a brand that’s all about eco-friendly, clean products that are cruelty-free as well. Getting into the details of the cleanser, Honest Beauty states that the Refreshingly Clean Gel Cleanser is made… “with a botanical blend of Chamomile, Calendula, Yucca Root extract and Saponaria, this luxurious formula delivers a fresh, foamy experience that removes dirt and makeup without over-drying skin.” Additionally, Honest Beauty did a study of 325 women who claimed that after four (4) weeks of use, “95% agreed skin felt refreshed and clean after use, 94% agreed skin showed no signs of makeup after use and 85% agreed skin did not feel dry after use.” On top of that, Dermstore also states the product is ideal for those with all skin types ranging from hypersensitive/sensitive to mature skin and everything in-between. And lastly, the product is also free of sulfates, parabens and synthetic fragrances and dyes.

#SampleSunday | Number 4 Clarifying Shampoo

Posted in Beauty

There’s nothing I love more than a good clarifying shampoo. As someone who washes their hair at most three times a week, one of those washes needs to be a clarifying wash to remove excess oils and product. I can’t stress enough how amazing it feels when your hair is just clean. Not stripped and dry, but clean and lightweight. While I currently have a favorite, I figured I should use the samples I have from all the boxes I’ve gathered. This brings us to today’s #SampleSunday, the Number 4 Clarifying Shampoo. We’ll take a look at what the brand claims the product does, a brief look at the ingredients and then my thoughts.

Starting with the brand claims, Number 4 states the Clarifying Shampoo is a, “weekly deep cleansing therapy that doesn’t strip moisture or color.” Additionally, the Number 4 says this is “…nutritive to scalp, hair and shower decor. It is the perfect go-to product for anyone desiring a deeper clean without sacrificing condition.” Number 4 also states this can be used weekly or daily to remove build-up or oils. Another note, this shampoo is free of sulfates and parabens and is vegan and gluten free.

So now, let’s jump into the ingredients and then go over my general thoughts on using this product. Below are the ingredients (as listed on CosDNA): Read more…
