I don’t know if you’re like me, but chances are that if you’re a skincare fanatic, you are. I change up routine depending on the general season as opposed to the day. My skin typically stays the same, unless I’m travelling to a different climate or the weather goes nuts. With that in mind, the hotter the months, the less I want to use creams, balms or oils to remove my makeup due to the fact that I’m wearing less makeup in general. However, this time around, I decided to try a balm. And by now, you know that balm is the Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm.*
Farmacy is a brand I’ve been wanting to try for quite some time. I love the idea of their products. They’re like K-beauty meets green beauty and we all know I’m a fan of both. According to the brand, this “…nourishing cleansing balm that gently melts away makeup and impurities caused by pollution, leaving the skin hydrated and silky smooth.” Additionally, the Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm features sunflower oil, ginger root oil, moringa and papaya extracts and whole list of other natural ingredients that are leave the skin glowing and promotes complexion toning. Farmacy also claims this product is good for all skin types.
So what’s the deal with the Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm? Is this a great makeup remover? Let’s take a look at the ingredients and then talk about my experience.
Below are the ingredients (as listed on CosDNA):
It’s Sunday and that means I have a sample review for you! Today I’ll be taking a closer look at the Honest Beauty Refreshingly Clean Gel Cleanser.* I bought this, maybe? I really have no clue how this got into my collection. I thought I saw it in the check-out aisle bins at Ulta. 😅
For those who don’t know, Honest Beauty is a part of The Honest Co., which is co-owned by Jessica Alba. Honest Beauty is a brand that’s all about eco-friendly, clean products that are cruelty-free as well. Getting into the details of the cleanser, Honest Beauty states that the Refreshingly Clean Gel Cleanser is made… “with a botanical blend of Chamomile, Calendula, Yucca Root extract and Saponaria, this luxurious formula delivers a fresh, foamy experience that removes dirt and makeup without over-drying skin.” Additionally, Honest Beauty did a study of 325 women who claimed that after four (4) weeks of use, “95% agreed skin felt refreshed and clean after use, 94% agreed skin showed no signs of makeup after use and 85% agreed skin did not feel dry after use.” On top of that, Dermstore also states the product is ideal for those with all skin types ranging from hypersensitive/sensitive to mature skin and everything in-between. And lastly, the product is also free of sulfates, parabens and synthetic fragrances and dyes.
So, is this amazing? Does it leave your skin feeling refreshingly clean as the product line indicates? Let’s first take a look at the ingredients and then talk about my experience with the product.
It’s always nice to share more personal info, so I thought it would be good to do a tag! Today I’ll be doing the Skincare Tag. So if you’re ready to know more about me and my favorite skincare products and best buys, take a peek!
Happy hump day! And for those in the U.S., hope you had a fun and safe 4th of July! Originally this post was supposed to go up on Sunday, however I slacked and couldn’t get it up. However, I’m going to hunker down and get this, and more, up for you. I’ll be honest, I thought there was a lot more products in this post, but I think it was more so large packaging than anything. So without any more delays, let’s take a look at my June Empties!
Happy Wednesday everyone! This post is a rehash of a post from my old blog, but still something I want to talk about. If you know me, you know I love to collect perfumes. Not like hoarding, because I use them all up, but I do have quite a few. I’m not really a connoisseur, but I do give each fragrance a sniff, even those that may be considered cheap. And I’ll be pretty honest, I’m a little embarrassed about this, but then not at the same time. It’s weird. Today we’re going to talk about celebrity scents, in particular, my favorite celebrity scents. Like I said, I’m a huge sucker for perfumes in general, so my spiral down the celebrity scent train was just a matter of time. Part of me is all, “you’re too old for this shit!” and the other part of me just doesn’t GAF. So let’s talk about this!
It all started with Lady Gaga Fame. I’m a fan of Lady Gaga and so I really got it for sentiment, but then I tried it and instantly fell in love. It’s floral, which is typically not my go-to, but it’s also fruity and deep. Must be the honey and balsamic in it. Definitely a sexy, night time scent. However, I’m boring, so I wear it whenever I want. And then *it* happened… We moved near a Marshalls.
The best part about shopping at Marshalls? The deals on beauty products, namely the scents. I mean, celebrity scents! I told myself that I would only experiment of celeb scents if I didn’t pay full price. And that’s exactly what I did. Until I decided I need to pay full price for Ariana Grande Sweet Like Candy. Ulta got me with a sweet bag deal on any fragrance purchase. But hey, the girls have a carry-on luggage bag now! 😊
So what are my favorite celebrity scents? Let’s take a look at what I have here (and no, this isn’t all I have):
