First and foremost, sorry about the smudgy corner. I later discovered that the lens I was using was a bit dirty. Anyways, I don’t know about you, but July flew right by. I know that I had had a few moments where I was less active, but with traveling, work and then the passing of my Boston, Tareek, I felt really drained. I’m feeling more energized now, but I think it may take me a bit to get up to speed.
Anyways, that was a bit of a ramble, but here’s my July ’17 Empties!
Skin’s Boni Yogurt Mask Pack | Definitely a nice mask. It was super moisturizing and I felt like I didn’t even need moisturizer after using this. I loved how thick and nourishing the essence felt. Love, love, love!
Bonvivant Rose Botanical Mask Pack | For as much as I don’t care for rose-scented things, I do like rose-scented sheet masks. They seem relaxing, much like lavender. I loved the way this mask felt on my skin. My skin had a slight rebellious moment during the month and this helped calm it down.
TONYMOLY I’m Real Seaweeds Skin Purifying Mask Sheet* | I love every single I’m Real mask and this was no exception. This left my skin feeling really clean and refreshed. Did it purify my skin on a single use? Maybe not, but I could definitely see some benefits with continuous use.
SheaMoisture Peace Rose Sensitive Skin Mud Mask* | This is definitely my kind of mud mask. It didn’t dry me out, but it did pull out all the nastiness clogging up my pores. Loved this! If I didn’t have so many masks right now I’d head out and get it.
The Laneige Water Sleeping Mask will all be reviewed in an upcoming #SampleSunday post.
Doll Face Beauty Exfoliating Enzyme Peel* | I’ve loved this peel. I’ve recommended it to so many people as an introduction to chemical exfoliants. It definitely works if you’re new to this method of exfoliation, its easy to use and very reasonably priced. I have a quite a few exfoliants and peels to go through, so I’ll wait before purchasing this again.
Nature Republic Argan 20 Essential Toner | This has always been one of my favorite toners. I love misting toners because they feel so refreshing. Because of this, I love them during the summer. I don’t think this is super crazy and amazing, but it is good. It’s hydrating, refreshing and it has argan in it! What’s not to love about that?
Elizabeth Arden Superstart Skin Renewal Booster (PR)* | Yet another product received when I was writing my old blog. I didn’t get a chance review it, but I don’t really have much to say. It’s like an essence, but not. I mean you apply it during that stage and it’s supposed to allow all of your other products absorb quicker. I didn’t really feel like it did that, but it did feel nice on the skin. Wouldn’t go out on my own to purchase, but I’d gladly use it if given to me.
Burt’s Bees Herbal Blemish Stick* | Definitely love this. This is probably one of the few products you’ll see pop up again and again in my #Empties posts. I feel like its one of the only blemish products that doesn’t dry me out.
Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Oil* | Ugh! Noooo, not my Luna! I really did enjoy this product. I felt it worked wonders on my skin keeping it hydrated, balanced, plump and glowing. I’ve been on the hunt for a product that couple replace it, but haven’t found one yet. The search continues…
The Botanic Farm Grain Ferment Cleansing Sherbet will all be reviewed in an upcoming #SampleSunday post. The Jurlique Lip Care Balm has already been reviewed in a #SampleSunday post.
Home & Body Co. Urban Detox Lavender Charcoal Body Wash | We bought this at Marshalls for our vacation and the whole family loved it. It cleansed the skin nicely without drying it out and smelled amazing. Also, black body wash? I’ll buy it just for that. Would totally pick it up again.
Hempz Power Shot Moisturizer in Citrus Berry | This is definitely just as meh as the other one I emptied.
Whish Shave Cream in Lavender* | I’ve used Whish creams before and simply, I’m just not impressed. I don’t feel like it help much with anything. Scent was nice, but that was about it.
Bio-Oil PurCellin Oil* | I emptied one last month and I had rediscovered it then. I really do like how this moisturizes my skin. I think I need to just invest in the larger size now.
H2O+ Black Sea Body Cream | This was such a weird product. It was like a gel, it was sticky and just felt so… ugh. I grudgingly used it up, but would never, ever get near this again.
Beauty Protector Protect & Treat Treatment Mask (PR)* | I previously reviewed this on my old blog, but my opinion on the product hasn’t changed. I really do think this is an amazing hair mask and it really turned my hair around. I had always worried that my hair would never take to bleaching well due to constant chemical treatment, but I really want to contribute my recent hair health to this mask. I forgot I had it and began using it a couple of months ago. So glad I cleaned out my bathroom and dusted this off.
OGX Dreamy Hydration Pink Sugar Plum Conditioner (PR) | I just did a #SampleSunday on some OGX products! This range was limited edition and smelled really good. Not my favorite scent, but I do love fruity scents well enough. This conditioner was really hydrating and made my hair feel really good. I’m curious on the differences in all of the OGX conditioners, so maybe a post on that?
Suavecita Argan Hair Serum | My daughters were mostly using this, but I used the last little bit. It’s a nice hair oil, but I typically like something with a tad more oomph. The scent is amazing though. Seeing that I have a ton of oils to go through, this won’t be coming back into the household any time soon.
The Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Styling Creme will all be reviewed in an upcoming #SampleSunday post.
e.l.f. Instant Lift Brow Pencil in Taupe* | I love universal brow shades and this pencil is Taupe is pretty similar to a lot of universal shades I’ve used in the past. I find they really do work for all brow colors, but only if you’re looking for a more natural brow. I did find this to be pretty good and would definitely purchase again. However, I was a sad panda when it broke. Granted I probably only had a week’s worth of use left, but still. There are other shades, but do look at trying out Taupe. It worked for my black brows.
Julep Ta Da! Quick Dry Drops* | Just your average quick dry drops. I buy these because of the discount by being a Maven, but it is worth it based on the amount you get. I already have my backup opened.
Daiso Sumi Oil Blotting Paper | I’m not sure I like these, but I do like the size. I think they’re charcoal and I always felt dry after using them. I’m not a super oily person, but I do get sweaty.
NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint in St. Moritz* | I know its a sample, but I really don’t have too much to say. It was definitely nice and had great coverage. I used it once for a special event and then forgot about it. Hence why its all sad and dried out. I really want to try this again, but I have way too many face products for the time being. Definitely making note though.
Studio Gear Cosmetics Impactfull Pro T.L.S. Mascara (PR) | Another product I wrote a review on while I was doing my old blog. I finally finished it up and I have to say, it really is quite nice. BUT, I did have to let it dry out before it became nice. While not the most lengthening or volumizing, it did do the job well. I have way too many mascaras to actively go out and buy one.
Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Eau de Toilette* | I’ve had this bottle for so long! I mean, you can probably tell because the cap isn’t blue anymore… This scent is really amazing and is the perfect “goes with anything” scent. Sad it’s empty, but I do have a small sample that I can use on a trip.
Julep It’s Whipped Matte Lip Mousse in Beso* | I loved this shade, but this bottle dried out. I don’t really have a color like it, so I may need to go get another one. It’s an orangey red and just so beautiful!
The Chloe Love Story Eau de Parfum will all be reviewed in an upcoming #SampleSunday post.
I don’t know why, but I thought there wasn’t that much here… I was wrong. 😂 Which of these products are you interested in?
