Is it an #Empties post already? Sure looks like it! Today I’ll be sharing everything I used up in the month of May. There’s not too much here, but I think that’s because I really tamed down my routine and usage. I was dealing with a bout of seasonal allergies all through the end of April and May. For me, that means that my skin is super sensitive and hates pretty much everything. I kept my routine basic and that meant that I used up much less product. I also limited the amount of face masks I was using, simply because I didn’t want to overload my skin here.
So without any more blabbing, let’s check out the May 2017 #Empties!
Leaders Daily Wonders Stop the Clock Anti-Aging and Nourishing Mask | This mask felt nice and didn’t irritate my skin. I have quite a few of these so I can provide a full review on the ingredients in the future. But on first impression, I can easily say this was pretty dang good!
Feliz8 Soo Snail Hydro Gel Mask | LOVE this mask. Might be my new fave snail mask. It really did plump my skin and also help it recover from all the mess that the weather changes have been wrecking on me recently. I received this one of my FaceTory Seven Lux boxes. I’ve been loving all of the masks I’ve tried from those boxes so far!
The Skin Food Black Sugar Mask Wash Off has been previously reviewed in a #SampleSunday post.
Jean Pierre Cosmetics Micellar Water | This was a decent face and eye makeup remover, but didn’t touch mascara one bit. Would not recommend for the eye area. The few times I got it in my eyes it definitely reminded me who the boss was. Ouch!
Burt’s Bees Herbal Blemish Stick* | This is a tried and true, ride or die product. I absolutely love this and definitely feel it helps healing blemishes. Especially ones that are freshly extracted (don’t judge me!).
EOS Sweet Mint Lip Balm* | this was my work lip balm and I feel this dries my lips out more than anything else.
The Honest Beauty Refreshingly Clean Gel Cleanser, Jurlique Lip Care Balm, Ursa Major Fantastic Face Wash and Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm will all be reviewed in upcoming #SampleSunday posts.
Julep Hydrating Body Cleansing Oil | This has an incredibly wonderful scent, but seems very highly priced for what it is. A little does go a long way, but it still feels not worth it. I mean, it did leave my skin hydrated after, but still… I don’t feel like it was worth it.
The Honest Co. Honest Deodorant in Lavender Vanilla | This was a decent natural deodorant, but won’t keep stink at bay once it gets really hot. Definitely a less active day deodorant for those who get a bit smelly. But again, not bad in any way! Since the warmer months are approaching, I would not be going out of my way to buy this again.
It’s Skin Cookie & Cream Body Ice Cream in Strawberry* | This body cream is so cute and smells soooo yummy! I also loved how it kept me hydrated throughout the day, too. Would definitely purchase again. My only gripe is that I wish it came in a larger size. Otherwise, I love this!
Aveda Candrima Body Moisturizer (PR) | I loved this moisturizer. I really felt this did a good job on my dry skin. The herbal scent was nice too, but if that’s not your thing, you may not like this. Scent doesn’t linger, but it is very present during application. I find these herbal scents to be soothing and I think that’s why I love this one.
Hempz Powershot Herbal Body Moisturizer in Fresh Peach and Rosewood | Nice moisturizer for normal skin and works well for traveling. It is lightweight, but because of that I wouldn’t recommend for dry skin.
Zabana Essentials Glow Stick Bare Beauty | I really never understood the reason for this. It does make your skin glow, but its more than that. It looks like sweat. I don’t ever want to look that glistening at any point.
Not mentioned in any photo was the Number 4 Clarifying Shampoo, but that will be reviewed in an upcoming #SampleSunday.
And that’s it! Short and sweet! What did you recently empty out and have some serious thoughts about? Have you tried any of the above products, as well? Share in the comments!
