Happy Sunday! Today we’ve got a doozy. I emptied this last month and have been dying to talk about it. I’ve you’ve read the other reviews I’ve posted so far, you know I like to be honest and keep it real. No sugar coating here. So, let me start off by saying the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence has won numerous people’s choice awards in various magazines throughout the years There’s a page on SK-II’s website to prove it even! But is it worth the heavy price tag? Let’s talk about what this product is, what the claims are, look into the ingredients, usage and then the final verdict. It’s a lot of steps, but for something like this, we need to get the info out there.
So what the heck is the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence and why does it cost an arm and leg? According to SK-II, the Facial Treatment Essence is said to help “…replenish skin’s moisture to help prevent skin dryness, smoothen skin surface texture for soft & smooth skin and moderate skin’s renewal cycle.” So basically, you use this and you’ll even out the tone and texture of your skin while combating dryness and exfoliating your skin to promote quicker cell renewal. Sounds pretty excellent in theory.
Before we continue further, let’s take a look at the ingredients (as listed on CosDNA): Read More
For those who follow me from my previous blog, you know that I’m a comic book lover. I’m happy to be able to share this passion with my children. All three of my kids read and enjoy Marvel comics, so when the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) started taking off, they decided they wanted to delve more into it. It all started with a single comic convention and the next thing I know, my husband and myself are learning to make props, sew and do makeup. My daughter has cosplayed Kate Bishop, Psylocke and Peggy Carter and Tony Stark and Gamora.
With the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, my oldest daughter wanted to be prepared for the movie premier. And like any mom would do, I took the time to do her makeup. My daughter recently had her hair dyed, so we opted to go with her hair and not a wig. Also, since I’ve been meaning to have a good recording of the whole process, the hubs thought it would be a good idea to try out GoPro for it. Take a peek and let me know what you think!
Below is a list of what I used: Read More
Today I have something different for you. Sundays are typically reserved for sample reviews, but this is a full size review. In fact, a review of a type of product I’ve not heard of! What’s that? A sugar texturizing spray! I’ll be talking about the Number 4 Jour d’automne Sugar Texturizing Spray. I’ll look at the ingredients, how I used it and my thoughts on whether or not this is worth it.
I’m a huge fan of texturizing sprays, but I find that I’m not a fan of the grittiness. I know, seems weird right? They seem to go hand-in-hand, but should they? Number 4 graciously sent me a bottle of this and I’m here to tell you what I think. I’ve tested this on both wet and dry hair and layered on and under other other products. So let’s see what the deal is! Read More
For those who don’t know, Mother’s Day is quickly approaching. I’m not huge on Mother’s Day, at least the mass consumer aspect. You should always appreciate your mother or motherly figure. Not everything needs to be bought; I personally love gifts that my kids make like crafts or drawings. Occasionally, they surprise me and end up getting me things I’m not expecting. However, if your mom is needing some T-L-C or perhaps needs some pampering, I’ve got some good ideas for you! I mean I do have a bit of experience in receiving Mother’s Day gifts, as well as giving them… Read More
